Islamabad Economic Co-appointment Committee (ECC) has set a base cost for tobacco.

The ECC meeting was led by Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tareen in which the base costs of tobacco were fixed. The ECC has fixed the cost of dark tobacco at Rs 149 for every kg and white leaf at Rs 123 for each kg. Furthermore, the cost of tobacco utilized for making snuff, sniffing and haqqa has been fixed at Rs 123 for every kg.
